J.R. was a devoted Master and teacher of Five-Element Acupuncture. Together with Judy Becker Worsley, he founded the Worsley Institute in order to protect the purity of the lineage that had been bestowed on him by his teachers in Taiwan, Singapore, and Korea.

It was J.R.’s wish that the lineage, which he also referred to as “A Way of Life”, was continued without corruption or deviation; he held fast to that dedication and training and inspired hundreds of students around the world for nearly 50 years from 1956 until his death in 2003.

In a world where many are searching for meaning and connection, the Worsley Institute is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of this system of medicine which has its roots in Natural Law. The training course has been designed to convey and nurture the importance of our relationship with Nature, Self, and Spirit.

If you are looking for an acupuncture training where you enjoy spending time in nature, watching and listening to the world around you, knowing yourself and others through the Laws of Nature, honing your senses, helping others, appreciating the simpler things in life, working with people on a profound level, then we firmly believe that this course is for you.

We are not expecting extensive essays on history and theory of acupuncture, or lots of online reading and research. The course, guided by Judy Worsley, is a mix of lessons, lectures, group exercises, point location practice, home study and personal reflection.

The mission of the full faculty team is to preserve and promote J.R.’s original inspirational, meaningful, face-to-face class training in the oral tradition, staying true to the ongoing Worsley lineage.

The Australia training will be spread over twelve months with ongoing mentorship and support available after initial training. The course will be a mix of online learning modules interspersed with 20 days of live in-person trainings (spread over 4 intensives) as well as 16 live zoom 3-hour classes. The on-line modules will cover much of the didactic and theoretical material, allowing you to review certain sections to feel confident in the theory. The live zoom classes will allow the cohort to stay connected and review any theoretical material through a discussion-based exploration.

The in-person classes are essential to this form of acupuncture and will focus on supporting you developing your sensory awareness in diagnosing the Causative Factor, enhancing your point location, and exercises to support building rapport with yourself as well as the patient.

The clinical component will include five days spent with Judy Worsley, the lineage holder of this system of medicine.

Course Fee: (20 days in-person spread over 4 intensives, 16 live 3 hour zoom meetings, and didactic video training): 6000.00 US Dollars. (Initial payment of $1500, and 11 monthly payments of $409) Once enrolled there are no refunds and participants are responsible for the complete cost of the course due to the small class size we maintain for integrity of the teaching.
